Order routing
Approved signals from the execution pipeline are converted to broker-native order instructions and submitted with retry logic. Fill confirmations are received and reconciled against the expected order within seconds.
Broker Integration
Highland Society provides pre-built, tested connectors to EU-accessible brokers — so you spend your time on strategy, not on reading API documentation and debugging order routing.
Highland Society maintains pre-built integration modules for a curated set of brokers accessible to EU retail and professional traders. Each connector is tested against the broker's sandbox environment before being made available on the platform, and it is re-tested after any broker API update. Connection is authenticated via API key or OAuth depending on the broker's requirements; credentials are stored encrypted at rest in an EU-based vault. Order types supported per broker vary — the platform clearly displays which order types (market, limit, stop-limit, bracket) are available for each connected broker before you configure your strategy's execution layer. If your broker is not yet on the supported list, contact us: we evaluate new connector requests quarterly and prioritise by client volume.
Once connected, the integration runs silently in the background — you interact with it only when something needs attention.

The platform pulls live position and balance data from your broker every 30 seconds and reconciles it against its internal state. Discrepancies trigger an alert before they can affect risk calculations.
API keys are encrypted using AES-256 and stored in a dedicated secrets vault hosted in an EU data centre. Keys are never logged in plaintext; rotation reminders are issued every 90 days.
Send us your broker name and we'll confirm compatibility or give you an honest timeline for when a connector could be ready.
